Taja V. Simpson is an acclaimed actress, producer, entrepreneur, and international bestselling author celebrated for her emotionally authentic performances and commanding presence on screen. With over 60 film and television credits, Simpson has earned a reputation for versatility, professionalism, and compelling storytelling across major networks and streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. She is best known for her role as Priscilla Owens, a series regular on BET's Tyler Perry's The Oval, featuring in more than 175 episodes over seven seasons. Her portrayal in the popular drama has garnered a dedicated fanbase and solidified her status as a powerful dramatic talent on television. Additionally, Simpson appeared alongside Tyler Perry in Netflix's Madea's Destination Wedding.
Simpson recently took the lead as the title character in AMC's ALLBLK drama Jupiter Jones, which premiered in May 2026.
