Biografía
July Janssen was born in the Netherlands. From a young age, she possessed a vivid imagination and enjoyed performing scenes from her favorite films for her family. After watching Lasse Hallström's What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993) at age twelve, she decided to pursue her passion for acting.
She quickly began taking acting classes and joined the Dutch musical theatre group 'De Jonge Stem.' Soon after, she was chosen to present on the local Dutch TV series "The Movement," and appeared in television commercials (IKEA, FrieslandCampina, Nationale Nederlanden, etc.), comedy sketches, music videos, and numerous short films, portraying a wide range of characters.
In 2016, she graduated from FAAAM - Film Actors Academy Amsterdam, following studies at Filmacteur Mediacollege Amsterdam and Dans en Theater ROC Nova College.
Her recent film and television credits include Mark Weistra's De Club van 5 (cinema release 2020), Het leven is vurrukkulluk (2018) directed by Frans Weisz, the TV series Flikken Rotterdam (2018–present), Kees van Hattum's Remnants of the Order: A Star Wars Fan Film (2018), and Bram van Splunteren's Jezus van de Javastraat (2016).
She continually hones her craft by studying various acting techniques with instructors such as Meisner alumnus Steven Ditmyer, Refocus method founder Tony Grahn, Frank Herrebout, Robert Ceelen, Renée Harp, Willemijn van der Ree, among others.
In 2015, July founded ACT & MORE, supporting productions across all set departments, organizing acting classes, and providing coaching and casting consultancy.
Her motto is: "What a beauty, that I can live a hundred lives in one.
