Terri Montrel is a creative producer and actress driven by a deep commitment to storytelling that celebrates humanity, preserves legacy, and reveals cultural truth. A proud mother of two, Lyric and John, she believes that the most powerful stories are those that inspire connection, challenge perspectives, and leave a lasting impact.
Her artistic journey began at the age of twelve when she became the DJ for her mother's teen club. Immersed in music, youth culture, and community from an early age, Terri discovered the transformative power of storytelling, an experience that ignited her lifelong dream of becoming a filmmaker.
On December 30, 2020, in a defining act of faith and purpose, Terri walked away from a successful career in Human Resources to pursue the arts full-time. Since then, she has built a dynamic career rooted in creative leadership, production management, and collaborative storytelling. With experience overseeing every phase of production, she brings together strategic planning, creative vision, and emotional intelligence to guide projects from concept to completion.
Terri's gift is her ability to see the story before it takes shape. She partners closely with writers, directors, and artists to nurture ideas into fully realized productions. Her collaborative approach allows creative vision and practical execution to work in harmony with clarity, purpose, and care.
At the heart of her work is a passion for amplifying underrepresented voices and documenting stories of Black excellence, cultural preservation, transformation, and global impact.
Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Terri proudly carries her Southern roots into every aspect of her work. She resides in Greensboro with her two children while continuing to build a body of work that reaches audiences far beyond her hometown.
