With a humble Christmas gig in December 1984, my journey in the world of showbiz commenced at the tender age of 13, wielding drumsticks as a session drummer for various artists. However, it wasn't until 1992 that I discovered my own musical identity with the formation of 'Overdrive'. Our lack of resources led us to dive headfirst into the realms of music videos and television, where necessity became the mother of invention. Begging, borrowing, and learning on the fly, we pieced together our visual expressions, laying the foundation for a multifaceted career that intertwined music, television, and film.
Over the years, my creative endeavours have flourished, culminating in the production, direction, and publication of an extensive body of work. From over 30 albums and more than 100 singles to remixes and jingles numbering in the hundreds, my musical footprint spans genres and mediums. Noteworthy contributions include penning lyrics for over 200 songs and jingles, including the title track for the Bollywood film "Manorma (six feet under)".
Venturing into the realm of visual storytelling, I have crafted scripts for over 200 TV commercials, corporate videos, and documentaries, while also leaving an indelible mark on the world of music videos and television. With over 30 music videos and 6 TV shows, my directorial prowess has evolved alongside a diverse portfolio comprising documentaries, short films, and an array of commercial and corporate video projects.
Between 2014 and 2017, I expanded my horizons as a director of photography and director of music for several Hindi and Punjabi short films, adding yet another dimension to my creative repertoire. Presently, I am immersed in the development of new short film scripts, poised to continue pushing the boundaries of storytelling across multiple mediums. Through passion, perseverance, and a relentless pursuit of artistic innovation, my journey in showbiz continues to unfold, marked by a commitment to excellence and a dedication to the craft.
