André van Duin, born Adrianus Marinus Kyvon on February 20, 1947, showed his talent for entertaining, imitating celebrities, and singing from a young age. At 15, he sent audition requests to several TV networks but was rejected due to his age. In 1964, he competed in the TV show "Nieuwe oogst," which highlighted young talent, and won the contest. This led to guest appearances on various shows. In 1965, he hosted his own program, "Een avondje TV met André," on the AVRO network, and released his first two singles. His TV presence grew, and in 1972 he began working in radio. In 1973, together with Ferry de Groot, he created the successful "Dik Voormekaar Show," which later became a TV show. In 1977, André appeared as a character in the comic book "Een showboot vol heisa," and ten years later, Toon van Driel developed a comic series centered on him. André made his film debut in 1981 with "Ik ben Joep Meloen," followed by "De boezemvriend" in 1982. After many years with TROS Televisie, he moved to RTL 4, where he enjoyed a decade of success with shows like "André's Comedy Club" (1998), often collaborating with Ron Brandsteder. In 2000, his radio show "Dik Voormekaar" returned on Radio 3FM for three years. André rejoined TROS Televisie in 2002 and is currently working on a theatre program.
