Md Borhanul Ashekin is a Bangladeshi filmmaker, textile entrepreneur, writer and social worker based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is professionally known as Borhan Khan. He is the founder of BK Textile Ltd. and the production company Dreams In Frame. He was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Alongside his business activities, he continues to work actively in the film and media industry as a director and producer, pursuing projects across different areas of the industry.
Borhan Khan is also an author and screenwriter. His interest in storytelling developed at an early age, eventually leading him to explore literature and screenwriting. His book Sabuj Prem (2019), one of his written works, received attention from readers following its publication. Among his other notable published works are the action thriller novel Operation Dark Light and the book Sishur Dekha 71 (Baby's 71).
During his studies at the European University of Bangladesh, Borhan founded a university theatre club with fellow students. Through the club, he directed stage productions and organized theatrical performances that were presented at university cultural events. Alongside his theatre activities, he also produced independent short films with fellow students, gaining early experience in visual storytelling and filmmaking. These experiences marked his first steps toward filmmaking.
Alongside his academic and theatre activities, he joined Jaaz Multimedia, one of Bangladesh’s leading film production and distribution companies, recognized for its collaborations with the Indian film industry, where he worked in film marketing, promotional campaigns, audience engagement, and audience research, focusing on students and young audiences to encourage interest in Bangladeshi movies and cinema attendance.
His experience at Jaaz Multimedia provided his first professional exposure to the film and media industry and laid the foundation for his career as a filmmaker.
As a filmmaker, Borhan Khan actively directs and produces television dramas, television series, commercials, documentaries, and short films, while developing for full-length feature films. Some of his notable projects, including Blind Road (2026) and Pashe Achi (2021), have won international awards. His documentary Most Beautiful Police Lines of Bangladesh (2018) has received widespread appreciation from audiences.
