Richard Craven founded the Association of Independent Producers in London, England, in 1976. He served as a member of the National Film Development Advisory Panel, chaired the AIP London Script Workshops, and acted as Secretary to the All-Industry Committee led by Sir Robert Bolt.
Richard has contributed to the production of over forty feature films, including Monty Python's Meaning of Life (directed by Terry Jones), Honky Tonk Freeway (John Schlesinger), and Nineteen Eighty-Four (Michael Radford).
He established Eureka The Location Company in London (1978-1995) and Toronto (1987-1996), overseeing location management for more than a hundred features, TV movies, and series such as Gothic (Ken Russell), Highlander (Russell Mulcahy), Brazil (Terry Gilliam), Losing Chase (Kevin Bacon), JFK - Reckless Youth (Harry Winer), The Adjuster (Atom Egoyan), and Robocop - The TV Series. He produced the award-winning My Way Home (Bill Douglas) and was Associate Producer on the Oscar-winning short film A Shocking Accident (James Scott), adapted from a Graham Greene story. In 2001, he produced The Overcoat. Between 2003 and 2011 at Principia Productions, he served as VP of Development on projects including The Saltwater Decision - Greenpeace (Christine Jeffs) and Journey's End (Meghna Haldar), set in middle-class New Delhi and scheduled to shoot in 2017.
Since 2011, as CEO of Casablanca Studios, he has been developing projects such as Getting It Wrong, French Vanilla, My Story With You, and BRE-X the Motherlode of All Time.
