Amery Ken Thao is an American actor based in Los Angeles. With a robust and ever growing resume that spans film, interactive, digital media, and short format, Amery brings a unique fusion of authenticity and adaptability to every role. His on-screen credits include performances in the feature film The Harvest (2023), Namco Bandai's Unknown 9, The Taylor Files (2022) and the anthology series Interrobang (2021), demonstrating his ability to engage in high level productions and deliver memorable performances.
A graduate of California State University, Long Beach, Amery honed his craft through training at the Upright Citizen's Brigade, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Praxis Studio, Mind's Eye Tribe, and East West Players, giving him a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary performance.
Thao is also an accomplished stage actor who has performed with TeAda, Urban Theatre Movement, and Lobeauh Entertainment's production of Shizuka, which garnered a Broadway World nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He is an East West Players x NBCUniversal Launch actor, cohort 2025. Whether stepping into a lead role or supporting ensemble, he consistently brings focus, intelligence, and emotional truth to his characters. As a Hmong-American, he has the rare ability to represent stories and characters that are often overlooked. When not acting he can be found swinging from silks or honing his archery skills at the shooting range, always embracing challenge, discipline, and play.
