Sarfaraz Rizvi (born November 6, 2000) is a Pakistani actor, model, and producer celebrated for his magnetic screen presence, versatility, and dedication to his craft. Known for captivating audiences across theatre, television, short films, and digital platforms, Rizvi has quickly emerged as one of Pakistan’s most compelling young talents.
Early Life: Born and raised in a lower-middle-class family, Rizvi has three siblings: an elder sister, a younger brother, and a youngest sister. From a young age, he displayed a natural flair for performance.
Alongside his artistic pursuits, Rizvi excelled in sports, earning multiple certificates and medals, showcasing early discipline and versatility. He completed his schooling at The Crescent Academy (2004-2017).
Education and Early Career: Rizvi attended Government Degree Boys College, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, studying Pre-Engineering while actively participating in talent societies and sports. Under the mentor-ship of his teacher, he first performed as 'Faizi' Wazeer in the college production "Akbar Badshah Karachi Mein" and was soon promoted to the lead role of 'Akbar Badshah' after demonstrating exceptional talent. Representing his college on multiple platforms, Rizvi earned trophies and certificates of appreciation, laying a strong foundation for his future in acting.
For higher studies, he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies (2019-2024), further honing his storytelling, performance, and media skills, preparing for a professional career in acting and content creation.
Career: Rizvi’s professional journey began in 2013 as a background artist. By 2017, he was actively participating in theatre festival plays, discovering the depth of his passion and honing his craft. His dedication to storytelling led him to contribute to over 60 indie short films, earning recognition among media students, emerging directors, and the creative community for his remarkable talent.
In 2020, Rizvi explored journalism, joining a news agency as a reporter and article editor. This experience sharpened his narrative instincts and understanding of human stories. Yet, the stage called him back, and after auditioning for Anwar Maqsood’s legendary commercial play Sadhay 14 August, he left journalism to pursue acting full-time. The play became a turning point, opening doors to commercial advertisements, films, media exposure, and television roles.
Rizvi made his television debut with the sitcom Wifi Boys (2024), followed by Bhootiya Villa (October 2024), where his supporting character Sherry captured audience attention. This performance led to Yasir Hussain offering him a memorable cameo in the drama series Paradise (August 2025).
One of his most celebrated works, the indie short film The Prism, won major awards at the New York:Istanbul Film Festival, Gandhara Film Festival, Cinephilia Flair Film Festival, and received an Honorable Mention at the World Culture Festival 2025. The film brought him international acclaim and attention in Pakistan, cementing his reputation as a rising global talent in indie cinema.
Expanding his creative footprint, Rizvi is producing the web series SabuDana (upcoming 2026), pioneering original OTT content in Pakistan that is expected to resonate with audiences worldwide. His other short films have also won multiple national and international awards, cementing his reputation as a talent with global appeal.
