Tommie Earl Jenkins hails from Canton, Ohio, where he launched his professional career at a young age. His journey has taken him worldwide, from the vibrant theater stages of London's West End to the dazzling lights of Broadway and Hollywood. He is best known for his critically acclaimed and award-nominated role as 'Die Hardman' in Hideo Kojima’s highly successful video game "Death Stranding." In 2019, Shacknews honored him as Best Voice Actor of the Year.
He also voices 'Ubercorn,' the funky, disco-loving, fact-finding unicorn from the popular children's TV show "Go Jetters," which airs internationally. As a voiceover artist, Tommie’s voice appears in numerous interactive video games, commercials, audiobooks, and animated TV series. In Hollywood, he has appeared in various network shows on NBC, ABC, CBS, USA, and The CW, including the role of Professor Ellison Pevney in the series "Pandora."
Trained as a classical ballet dancer from a young age, Tommie gained professional dance experience with the Canton Ballet in Ohio, the Duluth Ballet in Minnesota, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City. With a passion for singing, dancing, and acting, he found early inspiration at The Players Guild of Canton, where he honed his craft through numerous stage productions. Relocating to NYC was essential for his career, eventually leading him across the Atlantic to Europe. Theater has remained close to his heart, with notable musical roles including 'Barry Belson' in "Jersey Boys" on Broadway at the August Wilson Theater and in the original London company; 'Michael' in the London premiere of Jonathan Larson's "Tick, tick... Boom!" alongside Neil Patrick Harris at the Menier Chocolate Factory; 'Purlie Victorious' in the London premiere of "Purlie" at the Bridewell Theatre; 'Four-Eyed Moe' in Cameron Mackintosh’s "Five Guys Named Moe," recorded live at the Albery Theatre (now the Noël Coward Theatre); 'Rum Tum Tugger' in "Cats" at the New London Theatre; and 'Richie' in the farewell Broadway National Tour of "A Chorus Line," as well as the BBC’s 20th Anniversary performance featuring Donna McKechnie and David Soul, conducted by original Broadway conductor Donald Pippin.
