ANNE RICHARD: A Versatile Actress
Anne Richard is widely recognized for her role as a judge in the popular France 2 series "Boulevard du Palais," which ran for 17 seasons and 55 episodes, earning the Best Series award at the Saint-Tropez and Cognac TV Festivals. She has portrayed numerous memorable characters on both television and in film. Recently, she appeared as a soldier in "Commissioner Magellan," a navigator in "Murder on the Island of Yeu" for France 3, and starred in "The Wrath of a Mother," "Forbidden Love" by Jacques Malaterre, and "A Mother's Pain" alongside Jacques Perrin. Her career includes over a hundred films and TV movies. In cinema, she featured in "The Nose in the Stream" with Sami Frey and won the Best Actress Prize at the Florence Festival for her role in Christian Zerbib’s feature film "Dernier Stade."
Anne Richard has also made significant contributions to theater, notably performing as "Agatha" in Marguerite Duras’s play and taking on the iconic role originally played by Jane Fonda in "They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?" directed by Robert Hossein. Her stage credits include "Les Héritiers," "Hairstyle and Confidences," "That Has to Change," and "Guilty," adapted from Jean Teulé’s novel, performed during 2022-23.
In 2023, she stars in "Back to School 42, Welcome Children," directed by Xavier Lemaire, at Théâtre de la Luna in Avignon, continuing into 2024, with a Paris run scheduled for September 2024 at Comédie Bastille.
Anne has released around fifteen children’s audio books published by Carpentier and Éditions du Rocher, sharing enchanting tales that transport young listeners into magical worlds. She frequently collaborates on storytelling concerts with conductor Blaise Héritier, including productions like "White and Black" and "The Four Seasons of Freedom." She also created the musical show celebrating the 125th anniversary of EHL (École hôtelière de Lausanne). For several years, she has taught drama at AICOM (International Academy of Musical Comedy), where she leads the theater department. Additionally, Anne serves on the board of the Adami administration committee.
Upcoming projects include "Back to School 42," set for Avignon 2024 and Comédie Bastille in September 2025, by Pierre-Olivier Scotto and Xavier Lemaire; co-directing "The Melody of Happiness," an opera touring France, Belgium, and Switzerland from 2023 to 2025; and writing a children’s novel and musical comedy titled "Timide Étoile.
