Jeff Seymour is an American-Canadian actor renowned for his roles in Canadian television series such as Jeff Ltd., Bury The Lead/The Eleventh Hour, Show Me Yours, and Being Erica.
Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Virginia, he began his entertainment career in 1979. He appeared in shows like Knots Landing, Hill Street Blues, and Bosom Buddies. Starting in 1980, he also taught acting. Early in his career, while acting on television, he founded The Gnu Theatre, which became one of Los Angeles' most acclaimed and respected theaters. Jeff directed and produced all productions there. Later, he relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, making guest appearances in numerous Canadian series, including First Wave, Level 9, Da Vinci's Inquest, The Immortal, Smallville, Witchblade, Mutant X, and Sue Thomas F.B.Eye. He spent 11 years working in the Canadian film and television industry, starring in three TV series: Bury The Lead, Show Me Yours, and Jeff Ltd., the latter of which he co-created and co-wrote. Jeff also served as a director and executive producer. He won the Gemini Award (the Canadian equivalent of an Emmy) for Best Performance by an Actor in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role for his portrayal of Kamal Azizi in Bury The Lead. He received three nominations for that role and one nomination for Best Comedy Series as Executive Producer of Jeff Ltd. Jeff has been an acting coach for 34 years, conducting successful Acting and the Business seminars across the United States, Canada, and Australia. He recently completed a new book on acting titled The Real Life Actor.
