Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Xavier Torres began his career at 15, working as talent for commercials and publicity campaigns. As his popularity and passion for the entertainment industry grew, he decided to pursue acting professionally.
Torres relocated to Miami to broaden his opportunities. There, he secured roles in the feature films "Quiéreme Mucho" and "La Cocina," and starred in Telemundo's original series "Decisiones," which aired across Latin America. In 2006, he made his debut in the English-speaking market with a leading role in the Lifetime Television Network movie Break In. He portrayed "Angel," a young thief who kidnaps a group of tourists vacationing in the Caribbean. In this project, Xavier worked alongside Kelly Carlson of the hit TV series Nip/Tuck and renowned Latin actor and singer Carlos Ponce.
His performance in Break In opened significant doors, attracting interest from Hollywood agents and managers. During this time, Xavier auditioned for and landed a role in the acclaimed HBO original series Entourage, becoming the first Latin actor to appear on the show. He played "Javier Gracho," a charming soap opera actor who shares a romantic scene with "Mrs. Ari," the on-screen wife of Jeremy Piven’s character, portrayed by Perry Reeves.
In his most recent role, Xavier appeared in the Disney Channel’s Emmy Award-winning original movie Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, working alongside acclaimed actors Selena Gomez, David Henrie, and Jake T. Austin. He played "Javier," a windsurfing instructor who attempts to woo "Alex" during her family vacation. The film became the most-watched telecast of 2009, drawing 11.4 million viewers on opening night, and ranks as the second most-viewed Disney movie after High School Musical 2.
