Dana Sparks is an American actress, voice-over artist, and host with a broad career in television and film. In her early teens, she landed her first commercial audition in San Francisco, her hometown, which motivated her to move to Los Angeles. Dana's first network audition was for the CBS series Cover Up (1984), where she secured a contract role. Shortly after, her neighbor, producer/director Blake Edwards, discovered her on a Malibu beach and cast her as "Fanny" in her debut feature film, That's Life! (1986).
She was a regular on Falcon Crest (1981), playing the "sexy vixen" Vicki Gioberti for three seasons. Dana is also well known for roles in Melrose Place (1992), Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), Thirtysomething (1987), and L.A. Law (1986). Additionally, she portrayed Lt. Cmdr. Carolyn Imes on the popular series JAG (1995).
A favored magazine cover model and advertising icon, Dana was the face of numerous international campaigns.
As the youngest of three siblings, Dana grew up riding her pony through the hills of Orinda, California, visiting friends. This upbringing fostered her adventurous, sporty, and animal-loving nature. An avid swimmer, boogie-boarder, horseback rider, and golfer, Dana prefers spending time outdoors, especially enjoying life at Venice Beach, California, where she currently resides.
