Hafid Abdelmoula is a versatile Moroccan-American film director, screenwriter, actor, and singer based in the United States. His acclaimed fantasy-mystery film "Broken Gaiete," released in 2022, garnered 15 nominations and won 5 awards at prominent film festivals, including Best Film at the Santa Fe Film Festival and Best Director at the El Paso Film Festival, Madrid International Film Festival, and World Music & Independent Film Festival. Abdelmoula earned a Bachelor’s degree in Film from New Mexico State University and an MFA in Directing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Originally from Morocco, he developed a passion for drama and music early on, participating in the Agadir Regional Orchestra at the Musical Conservatoire, local theater, and his college drama club. In 1996, he won Best Singer on Morocco’s 2M channel and soon after moved to the United States to follow his ambitions. Deeply influenced by his ethnic roots, traditions, and multicultural experiences, Abdelmoula’s fluency in six languages—including Arabic, French, English, and Berber—allows him to transcend cultural boundaries. Over the years, he has brought his creative vision to life through numerous short films such as the award-winning "The Wall in the Garden," "Human, a Depressed Machine," "Baby," "Religified," and "Restricted." Building on his recent achievements, Abdelmoula is currently developing his upcoming fantasy film "Invisible Shackles" and a comedy mini-series titled "Not Again." As he continues to reach new heights in his artistic career, Abdelmoula’s natural storytelling ability connects with audiences worldwide, bridging diverse communities on a personal and global scale.
