Chris Tasara is a writer, director, and musician based on the West Coast. His passion for filmmaking led him to the University of Miami, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Film. Shortly after graduating, he relocated to Los Angeles to start his career.
He wrote, directed, and scored the boxing documentary Fortitude and Glory, which highlights the legendary boxing mentor Angelo Dundee. The film includes interviews with Angelo, two-time heavyweight champion George Foreman, and renowned trainer Freddie Roach.
Chris’s supernatural crime thriller Deadline, which he wrote, directed, and scored, was released on video on demand in spring 2013 and reached international markets in spring 2014. Deadline earned him fifteen awards from organizations such as the California Film Awards, the Los Angeles Movie Awards, and the Lucerne International Film Festival.
In 2012, Chris’s music was featured on the Nickelodeon series Victorious, starring Victoria Justice.
Inspired by his love of fighting, Chris wrote the screenplay Warrior Spirit, a poignant story exploring a father-daughter relationship within the boxing world. The film pays tribute to classic boxing movies, emphasizing spirit, grit, and perseverance. Warrior Spirit received Best Feature Script at the 2020 Vegas Movie Awards, an Honorable Mention from the 2019 Los Angeles Film Awards, and Best Screenplay Feature at the 2020 Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival.
Chris launched his YouTube series Dopamine in October 2020, covering entertainment, music, sports, and finance, with UFC star Dustin Poirier as the inaugural guest.
