Born and raised in Los Angeles, Victor grew up with Hollywood right in his backyard. It was no surprise when he decided early on to pursue a career in the film industry. While managing a wine shop during his time at Los Angeles City College, luck came his way. Selling a fine bottle of wine to a repeat customer, who happened to be a television producer, led to his first job after the producer saw his reel and resume. Starting as a production assistant, Victor gained invaluable experience and progressed through roles including Assistant Coordinator, Transportation Captain, Gaffer, Key Grip, Video Engineer, Sound Mixer, and Camera Assistant. Simultaneously, he honed his skills as both a Director and Cameraman.
Victor’s extensive credits as a director and cameraman reflect his passion and dedication to the industry. He has worked on feature films, commercials, music videos, network television, and public service announcements. Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, he spent many years at MTV, contributing to shows such as House of Style, Headbangers Ball, MTV News, Rockumentary, MTV Movie Awards, and MTV Sports. Additionally, he served as a lighting designer on five Real World houses, Mr. Show, James Brown, Gong Show, Big Brother, Fear Factor, Bug Juice, Stripmall, SurReal Life, and hundreds of other programs.
