He studied Theatre, Film, and Television at the University of Southern California, UCLA, Wright State University, and Van Mar Academy of Motion Picture and Television Acting in Hollywood, California. His acting career began at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois, performing in the play Our Town. He is a veteran of 50 television commercials and voice-overs. A producer and close friend of the late Ray Combs, host of Family Feud. His first television commercial was for Lazarus Department Stores. He has appeared in numerous national commercials for brands such as Sega, Chevrolet, Pringles, Tide, White Castle, JCPenney, MTV’s Those Rockin’ 70’s, and Paramount’s Kings Island.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, he was offered college scholarships in both baseball and basketball, choosing basketball to follow his idols Larry Bird, Chris Mullin, Rex Chapman, and Lenny Wilkens. He earned numerous awards, including tournament MVP and a Junior Olympics Silver medal. He competed against top talents like Shawn Kemp, Jon and Jay Zulaf, Anderson Hunt, Derrick Coleman, the Fab 5, Jerome Harmon, Pat Knight, Steve Hall, Michael Talley, J.R. Reid, and Steve Smith. He attended prestigious basketball camps such as B/C, 5-STAR, and Metro Index and received an offer to play professional basketball overseas, which he declined.
As a business owner, he runs Dreamline Productions, a company with five films in worldwide distribution, and owns a car dealership. After working on numerous Hollywood films that never saw release, he launched his own production company. He attended Talawanda High School and Badin High School in Ohio, graduating from St. Hedwig High School in Detroit, Michigan. He received the Mayor’s Award for rescuing a mother and daughter from a burning car.
He starred in a pilot for the UPN Network titled On the GO. Two of his films, which he acted in, wrote, and produced, were acquired by the Discovery Channel. He worked on six episodes of Frasier and the pilot for NewsRadio. Choosing the indie path, he prefers collaborating with passionate filmmakers. His film Clowns for Hire has won awards at film festivals nationwide. Another film, Life’s Riff, was picked up by DreamWorks at the San Diego International Children’s Film Festival. His first documentary, Crazy for PlayStation 3, won at The Indie Gathering Film Festival and aired on the G4 Network.
His motto is: "Life belongs to the doers. Work hard, surround yourself with like-minded people, and stay positive." He prefers to act, write, and produce, stating, "Too many good directors out there need work, so I prefer to collaborate." — Lonzo Jones.
He has produced music videos on Super 8 and 16mm film and won a Gold REMI Award at WorldFest Houston. His next independent film, The Alien Trap, will be shot on 16mm.
