Lauren Hewett has been involved in the entertainment industry since the age of six. She has trained in both dance and vocals, achieving success in both fields. Her first role was a television commercial for QUIK, a milk drink. Since then, Lauren has worked across stage, film, and television. At eight years old, she performed as "Baby" in the musical "The Seven Little Australians," where her passion for acting was discovered.
Her most notable acting accomplishments include winning two Australian Film Institute (AFI) Awards: in 1991, she received "Best Acting by a Juvenile" in a feature film for portraying a young girl who succumbs to leukaemia in "Act of Necessity," and in 1993, she won "Most Outstanding Performance by a Young Actor on Television" for her role as "X," the organizer of her Zyrgonese family, in the TV series "Halfway Across the Galaxy and Turn Left."
Lauren’s diverse roles have allowed her to collaborate with talented actors and crews, gaining experience in portraying a variety of characters. Some of her roles include Kylie in "Strictly Ballroom," Ebony in "The Miraculous Mellops 2," Kat in "Mission Top Secret 2," Mikki in "Home and Away," Mera in "Ocean Girl" seasons 2, 3, and 4, Kathy in "Spellbinder 2," as well as guest appearances on "G.P." and "A Country Practice."
Filming has occasionally required Lauren to travel internationally, providing opportunities to experience different cultures, form friendships, and explore new locations. She has filmed in New Zealand, Poland, China, England, and Australia. Additionally, Lauren has performed live in the USA, including in Hawaii and Disneyland.
Through her acting career, Lauren has enjoyed various exciting activities such as scuba diving, boogie boarding down rapids, parapenting, swimming with whales and dolphins, horse riding, and rafting.
