Shawn Huff began her modeling and acting career at 15. While attending high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was discovered by a modeling agent from France. After persuading her parents, Shawn moved to Paris and signed with Paris Planning Models. Over the next year, she traveled across Europe working for L'Oreal, Marie-Claire, Vogue, Bazaar, and various advertising and catalog clients. Later, she signed with Fashion Models in Milan and spent two years working in Italy.
At 18, Shawn decided to return to the U.S. and joined Ford Models in New York, where she worked for three years. In New York, she modeled for major magazines such as Vogue, Mademoiselle, Seventeen, and Bazaar. She then signed with Nina Blanchard Models in Los Angeles.
Upon moving to Los Angeles, Shawn shifted her focus from modeling to acting. She appeared in 12 national commercials during her first year and developed a passion for acting. She took various acting classes, including scene study, improvisation, comedy, and cold reading.
After 132 auditions, Shawn landed her first acting role in the 1993 series The Secrets of Lake Success, created by the team behind Dynasty (1981). She went on to appear in other series like McKenna (1994), an ABC show filmed over six months in Oregon. Following McKenna, ABC offered her a development deal. Shawn's film credits include We the People (1994), The Bad Pack (1997), Absence of the Good (1999), and 100 Mile Rule (2002).
Shawn continues her work in both acting and modeling. She is the mother of Bailey Huff and married to Brent Huff, who is also an actor and film director.
