Melih Selçuk's mother is a housewife, and his father is an adult. He learned Turkish in primary school. After completing secondary school, he was admitted to Gaziantep Science High School, where he studied as a boarder. He graduated from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, majoring in Business Administration.
While studying at university, Melih Selçuk applied for a role after seeing an advertisement in the canteen and was selected as the lead actor in the 2008 film "Süt," directed by Semih Kaplanoglu. For his debut performance alongside Başak Köklükaya, he won the Promising Young Actor award at the 16th Adana Golden Boll Film Festival.
In 2009, he appeared in the TV series "Kasaba," acting alongside Bülent Kayabaş, Talat Bulut, Öykü Çelik, Didem Balçın, and Murat Ünalmış.
Between 2011 and 2012, he played the role of Mehmet in the series "Adını Feriha Koydum / Emir'in Yolu," sharing the screen with Vahide Perçin, Hazal Kaya, Çağatay Ulusoy, Metin Çekmez, Deniz Uğur, Yusuf Akgün, and Ceyda Ateş.
From 2011 to 2013, he portrayed the character Rüzgar in the TV series "Pis Yedili," acting alongside Ayşegül Aldinç, Turan Özdemir, Asuman Dabak, Hazal Şenel, İlkay Akdağlı, Eda Ece, Melis Babadağ, Burak Alkış, and Halil Babür.
In 2015, Melih Selçuk played the role of Salih in the film "O'nun Hikayesi," sharing leading roles with Ahmet Saraçoğlu, Ayfer Dönmez, and Haldun Boysan.
