Austin James, born Austin Wojciechowski on January 5, 1994, in Ocala, Florida, moved with his family of five siblings to a horse and cattle ranch in the small town of Tarpley, Texas, during infancy. He attended school in Utopia, Texas, where his class had only 19 students. With limited activities available in Tarpley and Utopia, Austin spent much of his time caring for the horses on the ranch. He competed in youth rodeo events, aiming to become nationally ranked in steer wrestling. Additionally, Austin was a dedicated athlete, participating in track and field as a cross country runner and pole vaulter. When not riding, wrestling, or running, he immersed himself in books, often imagining himself in the roles he read about. At 16, Austin developed a passion for acting and persuaded his parents to borrow money so he could enter a competition showcase. Not only did he compete, but he won, earning a $10,000 prize and attracting attention from Hollywood agents. At 17, Austin left Tarpley for Hollywood and has since secured representation and booked several commercials. In the winter of 2013, he landed a lead role in the feature film "The Ultimate Life," directed by Michael Landon, Jr., which was set for theatrical release in September 2013.
