Carol is an experienced actor with performances at venues such as Manhattan Theatre Club, Perry Street Theatre, Arena Stage, HB Studio, The Shakespeare Theatre, The Kennedy Center, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, The Charles Playhouse, Ford's Theatre, and Classic Stage Company. At Classic Stage Company, she voiced the premiere of American Opera Project's Darkling, which toured across the US, Poland, and Germany. Her stage credits include playing the Snow Queen at The Kennedy Center, Celimene in Roundhouse Theatre's The Misanthrope, Limer in Morticians in Love (earning a Helen Hayes Award nomination), and Hillary in Albee Damned (winning Best Actress at the SpotlightOn Awards). She is affiliated with Emerging Artists Theatre Company and is an alumna of Washington Shakespeare Company and Everyman Theatre Company. Her film work includes Out of Season, The Gentleman, Thou Shalt Not Misogynate, and After You Left. She also appeared on the WB TV Network's The Beat.
Carol is an Audie and Earphones Award-winning audiobook narrator with more than 400 titles to her credit. With over 25 years of teaching and coaching experience in theatre and voiceover, Carol has led classes in acting, voice and speech, scene study, audition techniques, text analysis, accent reduction, audiobook narration, and voiceover. She has served as an adjunct professor in commercial voiceover and narration at NYU's Digital Design and Film School and taught Voice and Speech III at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Additionally, she has directed and taught acting at New York City's Professional Performing Arts School and Belvoir Terrace in the Berkshires. In the Washington, DC area, she has worked with Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts, Roundhouse Theatre, Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, Bethesda Arts Center, and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. Carol coaches voiceover and directs demos at Edge Studio in NYC and provides private coaching.
Her training includes studies at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, Boston University Theatre Institute, and Catholic University, where she earned a BFA in Acting and received the Best Actress Hartke Award at the Callan Theatre. She is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA, serving on SAG-AFTRA's National Audiobook Steering Committee.
