Nancy Nave, the youngest of three siblings, was born in El Paso, TX, to a Mexican-American mother and a father from Canton, China. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso, where she attended on a volleyball scholarship. After graduation, she worked as an engineer and project manager for Procter & Gamble and AT&T.
Nancy made her film debut in Hours (2013), which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival that year. The film was directed by Oscar-nominated Eric Heisserer and starred Paul Walker, known for The Fast and the Furious. She appeared in other films including The Hollars (2016), directed by John Krasinski, and Bayou Caviar (2018), featuring Richard Dreyfuss.
Her television credits include appearances on Grey's Anatomy (2005), Lethal Weapon (2016), and Life in Pieces (2015). She has also featured in over 100 commercials, with national campaigns for Walgreens, Jimmy Dean, and Honda.
Nancy co-founded Chew Angry Productions with her husband, Jason. Together, they write, direct, produce, and cast projects, providing actors opportunities to contribute their talents to independent films.
Initially working in the corporate sector, Nancy left to start a home-based business to care for her three young sons. Encouraged by her husband, she explored modeling and developed a passion for acting after becoming a finalist on Season 2 of the modeling reality show She's Got the Look (2008) in 2007.
Following transformative experiences, Nancy became an advocate for actors and established herself as a professional Career Coach for Actors. She founded The Crafty Actor, a company dedicated to guiding actors through their careers in the industry.
Residing just outside Los Angeles, Nancy enjoys running on the beach, watching classic films, and traveling in her free time.
