Carl is an Ecuadorian-Canadian actor based in the scenic city of Vancouver, British Columbia. He graduated from the acting program at Vancouver Film School, completing 16 consecutive months of study. In 2016, Carl spent 13 weeks in Los Angeles attending the Foundation Course at the esteemed Howard Fine Acting Studio, while also studying Alexander Technique with renowned instructors Jean-Louis Rodrigue and Kristof Konrad.
Since graduating, Carl has continued to develop his skills with post-graduate training in Fitzmaurice Voicework, Meisner Technique, Standard American Dialect, Scene Study, Comedy, On Set work, and various workshops led by Anthony Meindl, Graham Shiels, Matthew Harrison, Andrew McIlroy, Jeb Beach, Loretta Walsh, Bradley Stryker, Bart Anderson, and David Pearson. He maintains a regular fitness routine including yoga and Combat for Camera training on Sundays with stunt coordinator and actor Thomas Potter.
In 2005, Carl earned a degree in Multimedia Communications in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He subsequently worked in TV stations, graphic design, and production companies as a graphic designer, video editor, post-producer, and web designer. In 2008, he lived in Guelph, Ontario, where he discovered his passion for acting. He returned to Ecuador in 2010, and in 2011 moved to Brisbane, Australia, working in marketing at the University of Queensland before ultimately choosing to pursue his acting career in Vancouver, B.C.
Carl played basketball during high school and enjoys following soccer, supporting teams such as Barcelona, Manchester United, and the Ecuador national team. He is also a fan of the L.A. Lakers.
