Kate Stellar, professionally known as Heaven and formerly as Kate Romero, has spent decades working as an Actor, Life Coach, Talent Manager, Radio Host, and holds a World Title in Arm Wrestling.
The name Heaven emerged from a life-changing near-death experience that profoundly altered her perspective and ignited a renewed purpose, marking a new chapter in her personal and creative life.
An enthusiastic Storyteller, Stellar is an NPR Moth StorySLAM Winner who competed in KCRW's (89.9) The Moth GrandSLAM at the Regent Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. She has also been featured as an NPR Storyteller in KPCC's (89.3) Unheard LA series. One memorable story recounts her arm-wrestling challenge from Harry Dean Stanton—with Rick James watching—and the surprising outcome when she won (video available in the IMDb section).
Having spent three decades transitioning from Actor to Talent Manager, Stellar recently retired from management to return to her first passion: Acting. She is also venturing into Stand-Up Comedy with a One-Woman Show titled Dearly Beloved: A Journey from Self-Loathing to Self-Love, and a Comedy Special called Reckoning Ball.
Her career highlights include roles as Midge on Married with Children, Jeanie on Growing Pains, a 1940s Pinup Girl alongside Bob Hope and Don Knotts in a Bob Hope Special, and a part in Cruise Ship Murder for Lifetime TV.
Stellar transforms trauma into triumph through her unique comedy style she calls Traumedy™. She believes, "When we can learn to laugh about what once made us cry, we win."
