Deena Trudy is a filmmaker and versatile creative whose work includes writing, directing, producing, and acting in independently produced, collaboratively created film projects.
Born Deena Trudy Goldberg in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, she moved with her family to Palo Alto, California during early childhood and later lived in New Jersey, New York, and Arizona. Following her parents' divorce, she was raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she became involved in the juvenile justice system and spent time in long-term locked juvenile facilities. She was released at 18 after a court ruled against transferring her to adult prison.
After her release, she earned a degree in Business and initially planned a career in marketing before shifting to film and acting. She began working in Arizona's independent film and commercial industry, taking on roles in film and television, including appearances in Lucky You (Warner Bros.), House, CSI, Heroes, The Office, and NCIS.
A pivotal moment in her career came in 2013 when she co-created, produced, and directed the web series Toke N’ Choke Dispensary, establishing her voice as a filmmaker within independent production frameworks. Since then, she has continued directing and developing independent film projects with fully collaborative teams.
Her work encompasses filmmaking, production, and performance, emphasizing structured, independently produced storytelling driven by collaborative efforts.
