Tiny Pretty Things (2020), Netflix's original YA drama series, features Casimere as Bette, a flawlessly precise, supremely confident, and ambitious "music box ballerina." Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Casimere began dancing at age three and started modeling with Ford Models at seven. In her early teens, acting coach Lisa Morgan discovered her while renting space at her mother’s dance studio.
Throughout her childhood, Casimere was a competitive dancer and national championship winner, training in every dance style. At 12, she discovered her true passion for ballet and pursued rigorous training under Ballet Mistress Sherry Moray, also spending summers with Chicago’s Joffrey Ballet and New York City’s American Ballet Theatre. Balancing extensive ballet and acting training with frequent travel between Chicago and Los Angeles, she completed high school through online education. In her final year competing, she won first place overall in the contemporary division at the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix in Chicago.
Casimere made her first guest appearance in 2014 on the hit TV show Chicago P.D. Her acting career gained momentum in 2015 when she landed the lead role of Linz, a social outcast, in Hulu’s Guidance alongside Michele Trachtenberg.
At 19, Casimere relocated permanently to Los Angeles to focus on her craft. Her first commercial in 2017, the T-Mobile "bad babysitter," showcased her dry sense of humor and quick wit. Since then, she has appeared in numerous dance commercials, including SK-II cosmetics where she worked with renowned choreographer Ryan Heffington, as well as international campaigns for Jockey underwear, Opening Ceremony dance campaigns, and Webtoons for Google and Apple.
In 2017, she starred as the elusive Natalie in the family feature film F.R.E.D.I. on Netflix. In 2018, Casimere guest-starred in Code Black opposite Marcia Gay Harden and Rob Lowe, and in 2019 appeared in Bravo’s Dirty John with Eric Bana and Julia Garner. Also in 2019, she portrayed a ballet dancer on NBC’s This Is Us.
Casimere is of French, Lithuanian, and Italian heritage. Her father is an engineer and business entrepreneur from Worcester, Massachusetts; her mother is an interior designer, author, and former Chicago Bears cheerleader; and her brother Ralphie, a trained classical pianist, works at Capitol Records in Los Angeles.
