Windi Washington is a Los Angeles native whose career spans acting, producing, and writing. Trained as an actress in her late teens, she has never wavered in her dedication to performance while also building an accomplished career behind the scenes.
Her screen credits include Trace (Amazon Prime Video, 2021), American Gangster: Trap Queens (BET/Viacom, 2021), Lola 2 (AllBlk, 2022) where she also served as Associate Producer, and a cameo appearance in Netflix's The Lincoln Lawyer (2024). She also appeared in Sylvie's Love (2020), Nappily Ever After (2018), Homecoming (2018), Snowfall (2018-2021), American Crime Story (2021), Family Reunion (2021), Good Trouble (2019), Wonder Woman (2011), Live Shot (1995), Weird Science (1995), In the House (1995), and Up Close & Personal (1996). Her early work includes Money Train (1995), and she began her feature film journey as Production Auditor on Salmonberries (1991).
In addition to film and television, Washington appeared in music videos including After 7's Can He Love You Like This? (1993) as Lead Actress and Jade's Don't Walk Away (1992) as a featured dancer.
As a producer and host, she created Windi World Daily with Windi Washington (2016-2023), a talk show and podcast streaming on the iHeart Podcast Network and all major platforms. She is the founder of Windi World Daily LLC (Film & Television Production and Broadcast Media, est. 2010) and Maxi Wade Agency, LLC (Entertainment Marketing & Talent Representation, est. 1996).
In development, as a creator and writer, Washington is developing two original television projects: Maxi Maxi Wade Agency (TV Series) and Nerd (TV Series).
Her professional background also includes positions at Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox Film, Creative Artists Agency, Condé Nast (Vanity Fair), and American Express Brokerage. She earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2004 before studying Motion Picture & Television, Producing, at the Academy of Art University in 2011. She is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, SAG-AFTRA, Women In Film, and the Alliance for Women in Media.
