Emma McMorrow is a British actor, writer & producer, originally from Stockport, Manchester. She trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, graduating in 2005. Emmy's body of work as an actor includes lead roles for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and supporting roles for AMC Studios & Canal Plus.
At 28, her first project as a writer a TV Drama pilot; 'The Smoke' sold on option to ITV Productions in 2011, on a co-production development agreement with her then company, Smoulder Productions. Emma was attached to play the central role of 'Bex' and produce.
Venturing into sketch comedy, Emma wrote, produced and performed in sketches (as Emmy McMorrow), with her comedy co-writer Lorelei Mathias for Melon Comedy. Lorelei Mathias & Melon Comedy have been fortunate enough to receive wins from British Comedy Guide, Fulwell 73, The TV Foundation/Comedy 50-50, with nominations from Funny Women, The Edinburgh Television Festival, The Comedy Crow's Chorts, Craft of Comedy Awards and the BBC New Comedy Awards. Emma was late diagnosed with ADHD in 2023 and along with her fellow ADHD co-writer Lorelei, Melon Comedy strives to raise awareness for the need for society to make adaptations for the neurodiverse, because, "Comedy is the best medicine."
As of 2026, Emma is in development with her drama co-writer, Tristan Alice Nieto, with their screenplay 'Ghosting'; an autobiographical (Emma), romantic drama about suicide loss, set in Austin, Texas.
Emma lives in Richmond, London with her daughter Willow. During the pandemic, and taking time out for the birth of her daughter in 2021, she also created and wrote 'The Original Ted Tour'; an unofficial fan locations tour for her favourite Apple TV show, 'Ted Lasso', which greets thousands of international guests per year. She has been known to describe Jason Sudeikis as 'her Fairy Godfather'.
