Simone Vicari Moore is a British-Jamaican actress raised in Brooklyn. Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, she spent much of her teenage years in Brooklyn, New York City, living with her extended family. She began singing and dancing at the age of five. During high school, she studied the complete works of Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday, often traveling to Manhattan to perform in talent shows and modeling events.
After working as a model and voice-over artist in New York and Paris, Simone decided to pursue acting. She applied to several drama schools and was accepted into the UC San Diego Theatre and Dance Program. At UCSD, she had the opportunity to work with notable figures such as Des McAnuff, Darko Tresnjak, Anne Bogart, Lisa Harrow, and Fiona Shaw. Upon graduating, she began working Off-Broadway with The Classical Theatre of Harlem and has since performed in numerous plays across New York, Los Angeles, and regional theaters, including the esteemed La Jolla Playhouse.
Classically trained, Simone has received critical praise from The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times for her Shakespearean performances and her work with The Civilians Theatre Company in New York and The Shakespeare Center LA, where she recently portrayed Lady Macbeth. Since relocating to Los Angeles, she has secured leading roles in independent films as well as prominent guest and recurring television roles on shows such as Boston Legal, Cold Case, and Without a Trace.
Her solo play, "The Divorce Comedy," debuted at REDCAT in Los Angeles during the 2020 New Original Works Festival.
Simone is also a soulful singer, volunteers with various socially conscious organizations, and teaches art to children.
