Bharat Dabholkar is an Indian actor, director, playwright, and advertising expert renowned for his extensive contributions to Indian cinema, theatre, and advertising. Often hailed as the "Father of Hinglish" advertising, he revolutionized the Indian advertising scene by skillfully blending Hindi and English to craft relatable, memorable, and impactful campaigns. He has been the creative mind behind iconic brand communications for Amul, Videocon, Frooti, Appy, and many other leading brands.
In theatre, Dabholkar boasts over thirty years of experience as a prolific writer and director. He has written and directed more than 32 English musical and theatrical productions. His satirical revue, Bottoms Up, is recognized as one of the longest-running English-language plays in Indian theatre history, earning him praise for his sharp wit, social commentary, and stagecraft.
His film career established him as a sought-after character actor in both Hindi and Marathi cinema.
