Jamie grew up performing in musicals and dramatic roles in film and theater in New York, earning her Equity card at age 9 in a regional production of "The Rink." When not studying, she was dancing, singing in a vocal harmony group, or busy with commercials and modeling for magazines like Vogue Bambini. She acted alongside Oscar nominee Tom Hulce, playing Alice Liddell to his Lewis Carroll in David Warren's Off-Broadway hit "Haddock's Eyes." This experience led to her film debut in the CBS movie of the week, "A Hobo's Christmas," where she portrayed the granddaughter of Tony and Emmy winner Barnard Hughes. At 12, Jamie first glimpsed Hollywood, flying coast to coast for screen tests on TV shows such as "Blossom" and "Major Dad," while landing a lead role in the HBO after-school special "The Babysitter's Club." At 17, her passion for theater brought her to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where she majored in Acting with a minor in Art History. There, she underwent extensive training, studying everything from Shakespeare to Strasberg, and explored interests like African Art and Photography. After earning her BFA, she continued studying at the Strasberg Institute while working steadily in off-Broadway productions and episodic TV shows including "Law & Order: SVU" and "The Sopranos." Her singing talent was recognized when Hal Prince selected her for the first national tour of his Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, "Parade." After enduring several cold New York winters, she swapped her boots for flip-flops and moved west. She fell in love with the warm climate, healthy lifestyle, and Sunday rides on her Ducati through Malibu's canyons. Settling in Los Angeles, Jamie enjoys working in television and film. In April 2011, she became a mother to daughter Veda Blue and devoted nearly two years to motherhood. Still drawn to storytelling, she soon began working as a producer, writer, and actress on several personal projects.
