Born on August 4 in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, Antonio De Carlo is a versatile artist who has achieved success in multiple fields, including singing, composing, acting, TV and radio hosting, as well as lecturing and motivational speaking. In 1995, he joined the faculty of the "Colegio de Graduados en Alta Dirección" in Mexico City. Notably, he is among the few artists worldwide to receive a National Oratory Prize, which he was awarded by the esteemed lecturer Miguel Angel Cornejo y Rosado.
Antonio De Carlo began his professional career on October 23, 1988, appearing on the international program "Siempre en Domingo" where he performed the song "En Mil Pedazos." Shortly thereafter, on the same program, Raúl Velasco acknowledged Antonio’s success and praised him as an artist launched by "Siempre en Domingo."
His acting career in telenovelas started with "Mi Pequeña Soledad" (1990), under the mentorship of the renowned Verónica Castro, marking the beginning of a steady career in acting. He later appeared in other popular soap operas such as "Imperio de Cristal" (1994) alongside Kate del Castillo; "Marisol" (1995) with Erika Buenfil and Eduardo Santamarina; "Catalina y Sebastián" (1999), where he portrayed the controversial Father Jerónimo; and the internationally acclaimed "La Usurpadora" (1998), in which he played an antagonistic role. For his performance in "La Usurpadora," Antonio De Carlo was awarded the Golden Palms by the National Circle of Journalists of Mexico.
In theater, he has acted in numerous plays, including "Sugar," co-starring with Laura Flores, Jorge Muñiz, and Eduardo Palomo; "La Dama de las Camelias," alongside Daniela Castro, Blanca Sánchez, and Guillermo Murray; and "En Roma el Amor es Broma," featuring prominent Hispanic actors such as Edgar Vivar, Alejandro Suárez, Jorge Arvizu 'El Tata,' and Amparito Arozamena. His theater work has earned him several honors, including the Golden Palms and the Golden Sun awards from the National Circle of Journalists of Mexico.
Antonio De Carlo has also hosted and co-hosted various successful television and radio programs, including "Cotorreando" (Telemundo, Miami); "De Mañanita" (Telemundo, Miami); "Gerardo por la Mañana" (Radiovisa Corp.); and "La Capirotada" (Radiovisa Corp.), among others.
On February 14, 2003, Jesús González Reyes, the mayor of Tijuana, Baja California, honored Antonio De Carlo with the "Keys of the City" in recognition of his outstanding artistic career and appointed him Honorary Ambassador of Tijuana.
Recently, he released a new album as a singer and songwriter titled "Después del Silencio...," a high-quality musical work that is expected to establish Antonio De Carlo as one of the most successful Hispanic artists.
