Giuseppe Bonifati, born in 1985, is an actor, playwright, poet, producer, and director. He trained in acting at the Civic School of Dramatic Art "Paolo Grassi," the National Academy of Dramatic Arts "Silvio D'Amico," and the International Theatre Workshops of the Venice Biennale. Between 2010 and 2020, he held the position of director in residence at the esteemed Odin Teatret in Denmark.
His honors include the 2006 Crystal Microphone "Umberto Benedetto" award from RAI for emerging radio voices and the 2011 National Dramaturgy Award "Alessandro Fersen." Since 2010, he has been the artistic director of DOO - Divano Occidentale Orientale, a performing arts collective, and in 2021, he established Det Flyvende Teater (The Flying Theatre) at Billund Airport, Denmark. Over the last 15 years, he has created and directed more than 35 productions, performing in 32 countries worldwide.
In film and television, he appeared in Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World, alongside Kevin Spacey, Mark Wahlberg, Christopher Plummer, Michelle Williams, and Timothy Hutton. His TV credits include the BBC series Us, featuring Tom Hollander and Sofie Gråbøl, as well as a role in Michael Mann’s Ferrari with Adam Driver and Penélope Cruz. He also appears in Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints, a new FOX TV series produced by Martin Scorsese. Additionally, he is set to appear in A Taste for Murder, soon to be released on BritBox/ITV.
