Tricia Walsh (also known as Tricia Walsh-Smith) grew up traveling the world due to her father’s career in the Royal Air Force. As a teenager, she moved to London to study at the Italia Conti Academy of Dramatic Arts. She appeared in television sitcoms such as The Kenny Everett Show, Constant Hot Water, Dick Emery Show, Grange Hill, The Six O'Clock Show, Biggins History of the World and Other Bits, as well as in television plays like the award-winning The Best Years of Your Life (1986) on BBC. As herself, she has made appearances on Inside Edition, ET’s The Insider (at least fifteen times), Extra, On the Record with Greta Van Susteren, and Geraldo. Her film credits include the cult classic Terror (1978). Additionally, she has featured in over five hundred television commercials.
As a playwright, her works include Bonkers, which premiered at the Man in the Moon Theatre in London and subsequently toured nationally across the UK, and The Thong. Her play Addiction’s was scheduled for its world premiere at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, UK, in 2004 but was unexpectedly cancelled. Similarly, her drama The Last Journey was set to open at Westport Country Playhouse on May 17, 2008, but was postponed, allegedly until the 2009 season, yet it has not been staged since. (Speculation suggests her ex-husband, Chairman of the influential Shubert Organization, may have been involved.)
Recently, she completed a musical titled Arm Candy and has performed some of its songs in London nightclubs. Her music is also prominently featured in Sky 1’s seven-part documentary Pineapple The Dance Studio: Survival of the Fittest, which followed Tricia during her time in London. The series premiered in February 2010.
