David, a dedicated acting student from a young age, was raised amidst the theaters of New York City. He graduated from NYC's High School of Performing Arts and pursued further training under his primary mentor, Anthony Abeson. He also studied at H.B. Studios with notable instructors and actors including Herbert Berghof, Carol Rosenfeld, William Hickey, and Uta Hagen.
As an actor, David has performed both on and off-Broadway, with a standout role as "Rodolpho" in the Tony Award-winning Arthur Miller play "A View From The Bridge," earning critical acclaim. His performances have graced venues such as Lincoln Center, The John Houseman Theater, Playwrights Horizons, and various other New York City theaters. He is currently a company member at South Coast Repertory Theater in Orange County, California.
David’s film credits include working with Academy Award-winning directors Oliver Stone in Nixon (1995) and Anthony Minghella in Mr. Wonderful (1993). His other feature films include One Good Cop (1991), S.F.W. (1994), Mutiny (1999), Dead Presidents (1995), Lawn Dogs (1997), Cops and Robbersons (1994), Why Do Fools Fall in Love (1998), Soldier Boyz (1997), among others. On television, he was a regular on three network series: Fox’s 21 Jump Street (1987), NBC’s Dream Street (1989), and NBC’s The Client (1995). He has also made numerous guest appearances and held leading roles in movies of the week and miniseries. Most recently, in 2008, he appeared in an episode of ABC’s series Eli Stone.
