Katerina Kova is a Russian-born, Canada-based actress and multidisciplinary artist working across film and television. Born above the Arctic Circle in Vorkuta, Russia, she spent her early years in Saint Petersburg before immigrating to Toronto, where she continued her formal artistic training.
Katerina holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with distinction from Mount Allison University and trained extensively in classical piano, dance, fine art, and martial arts prior to transitioning into acting. She studied on-camera performance at Armstrong Acting Studios, Alza Acting Studios, and LB Acting Studios in Toronto.
Her screen work spans independent and internationally oriented productions, including Heavy Metal Hitchhiker (Banger Films), Spider-Man: Rise of a Legacy (performed entirely in Russian), and One Of Us, an interactive short film shot using advanced motion-capture technology at Pinewood Studios. She appears opposite Jennifer Dale in Unrepentant: Iconic Women of History, currently in post-production. Additional credits include Otium, a feature shot on film which had its world premiere at Semaine de la Critique de Montréal, and The Ropes, where she portrayed Rumble Rosa, now streaming on Bell Fibe TV1.
Katerina stars in Nicky Nine Doors, which had its world premiere at the Hamilton Film Festival (20th Anniversary) and screened on opening night at the Blood in the Snow Film Festival in 2025. Her upcoming work includes Option and the television series Whitmore.
In parallel with her acting work, Katerina is actively engaged in creative development and industry leadership. She is a member of Women in Film & Television Toronto (WIFT+), has served on juries for WIFT Showcases, and completed the Pitch 101 Workshop, WIFT Connect Mentorship, and Leadership Development Series. She is currently co-writing and executive producing a horror feature in which she will also star.
Katerina is multilingual, performing in English and Russian, with working proficiency in French and Japanese. Her physical skill set includes hand-to-hand combat, falls, weapons handling, and controlled movement for physically demanding roles.
