Dori Berinstein is a six-time Tony Award-winning Broadway producer, an Olivier Award recipient, and an Emmy-winning director, producer, and writer in film and television. Her acclaimed documentary work includes "A Man with Sole: The Impact of Kenneth Cole," "ShowBusiness: The Road To Broadway," "Carol Channing: Larger Than Life," "Marvin Hamlisch: What He Did For Love" (Emmy Award), "The Show Must Go On," and "The Last Blintz."
Her Broadway credits feature productions such as "Stereophonic" (Tony Award), "Company" (Tony Award), "Is This A Room," "Dana H," "The Prom" (Drama Desk Award), "Legally Blonde" (Olivier Award), "Virginia Woolf" (Tony Award), "Thoroughly Modern Millie" (Tony Award), "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" (Tony Award), "Flower Drum Song," "The Crucible," "Golden Child," "Big," and "Fool Moon" (Tony Award).
In television, Dori directed and produced "Joshua Bell: Music at Home," as well as directed, produced, and created the series "Eavesdropping with Alan Cumming" and all four seasons of "The Isaac Mizrahi Show."
She has executive produced and supervised over 50 feature films, specials, special effects, and animated projects, including Isaac Mizrahi's award-winning documentary "Unzipped," the "Dirty Dancing" feature film and TV series, and Jim Henson's "MuppetVision 3-D." Dori also produced Ryan Murphy's Netflix adaptation of her Broadway musical The Prom, which earned a Golden Globe nomination. Her executive production work extends to websites for Oprah Winfrey and President Clinton. She led creative development and production at DreamWorks Theatricals and has held producer and executive roles at Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures, NBC, MTV, Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop, Oxygen Media, Vestron Pictures, and Walt Disney Imagineering.
Dori has been honored with Broadway's Robert Whitehead Award for Outstanding Achievement in Commercial Theatre Producing and the Jacob Burns Vision Award.
She is Co-Founder and CEO of The Broadway Podcast Network, the leading platform for Broadway-related digital storytelling (bpn.fm). Dori serves on the Broadway League's Board of Governors, as well as the boards of New Dramatists and the Jacob Burns Foundation. She began her career as an investment banker specializing in mergers and acquisitions at Morgan Stanley.
