Joseph Lee Michael is an American actor, stunt performer, stunt coordinator, action director, fight choreographer, armorer, martial arts master, and recording artist known professionally as Master Joelee. Since entering the entertainment industry in 1992, he has built a career spanning more than three decades in film and television, earning a reputation for professionalism, discipline, leadership, and authenticity both in front of and behind the camera.
Born in Queens, New York, and raised primarily in Louisiana, Joelee developed a passion for martial arts at an early age. The discipline, determination, and work ethic he learned through martial arts became the foundation for a lifetime dedicated to physical performance, leadership, and creative storytelling.
Facing significant personal challenges early in life, Joelee made the decision to leave Louisiana and relocate to Los Angeles to pursue a lifelong career in the entertainment industry. Arriving with less than one thousand dollars and an unwavering determination to succeed, he began building the foundation of a career that continues to grow more than three decades later.
Throughout his career, Joelee has worked as an actor, stunt performer, stunt coordinator, action director, fight choreographer, and armorer on film and television productions. His commitment to realism, safety, and professionalism has earned the respect of fellow performers and industry professionals alike.
A USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee, Joelee holds advanced black belt rankings in Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, and Kenpo Karate while also training extensively in Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Kung Fu San Soo, Krav Maga, and other combat disciplines. He has owned and operated successful martial arts academies throughout Southern California, mentoring actors, stunt performers, professional fighters, law enforcement personnel, and private clients throughout his career.
In addition to his work in entertainment, Joelee has professional experience in executive protection, tactical consulting, and luxury transportation services, bringing practical real-world knowledge and leadership to every project in which he participates.
Today, Joelee continues to pursue opportunities as an actor, stunt coordinator, action director, fight choreographer, and armorer while opening a new creative chapter as recording artist Cajun Caine. Although he has been writing songs and preserving handwritten lyrics for more than thirty years, it was not until 2026 that advances in recording technology inspired him to begin recording and releasing his original music. Drawing from a lifetime of personal experiences, his songs reflect themes of faith, perseverance, family, gratitude, redemption, and overcoming adversity while sharing the life lessons that have shaped his journey.
