Ben DeJesus is an Emmy and Tony-nominated director, producer, writer, and four-time Imagen Award winner with over 15 years of experience creating culturally driven content across television, film, documentaries, live experiences, and digital media. He is the founder and creative force behind Casa NoHo Studios, a rapidly growing production and culture hub where bold storytelling, creative collaboration, and emerging media innovation converge. Through Casa NoHo, Ben has cultivated a unique ecosystem serving filmmakers, talent, brands, and next-generation creators.
A longtime collaborator of John Leguizamo, Ben most recently co-created, directed, and executive produced 12 episodes of the hit MSNBC/Peacock series Leguizamo Does America, a co-production between NBC News Studios and Casa NoHo Studios. He also executive produced and directed American Historia: The Untold History of Latinos (PBS), a three-part documentary series hosted by Leguizamo exploring the overlooked contributions of Latinos throughout American history.
With more than 200 hours of produced programming spanning documentaries, non-fiction series, music videos, branded entertainment, and live events, Ben’s work consistently blends culture, entertainment, and social impact.
His credits include American Masters: Raul Julia: The World’s a Stage, which received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Nonfiction Series; Great Performances: John Leguizamo’s Road to Broadway; American Masters: Lights, Camera, Acción (PBS); Essential Heroes: A Momento Latino Event (CBS), executive produced and hosted by Eva Longoria; and multiple episodes of Disney’s hit sitcom BUNK’D.
Ben began his career as a stage actor before transitioning into television as one of the original producer/writers on several seasons of MTV Cribs. He later produced and wrote for MTV News, VH1, mun2, Nick at Nite, and numerous on-air campaigns and specials. As a music video director, he has helmed projects for pioneering artists including Don Omar, Aventura, Fat Joe, and N.O.R.E., generating over one billion YouTube views.
In theater, Ben served as a producer on Latin History for Morons, the acclaimed Broadway production that earned him a Tony nomination before launching a record-breaking national tour.
Today, through both his directing work and the continued expansion of Casa NoHo Studios, Ben continues building projects, platforms, and communities that champion storytelling in the language of now.
