Peter Gray Lewis grew up in Louisville, KY, and after high school, pursued acting and dancing in Louisville, Florida, and Chicago. As an original member of the Hubbard Street Dance Company, he left dance at 24 to travel the country by hitchhiking and hopping freight trains, a lifestyle he maintained intermittently for over ten years. He later graduated from the University of Illinois and Yale School of Drama. Lewis spent two decades in the off and off-off Broadway theater scene in New York before taking on lead and supporting roles in films such as "Motherless Brooklyn," "Stone," "Untraceable," "Greater," "The Bourne Legacy," "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "Pineapple Express," "Down in the Valley," and others. His television credits include guest and recurring appearances on "Dirty John: Betty," "Interrogation," "Person of Interest," "Mad Men," "30 Rock," "Law & Order SVU," "Dark Blue," "666 Park Avenue," "Unforgettable," "Boston Legal," and the original "Law & Order." On stage, he has performed in over 75 plays, toured nationally with The Acting Company as Joe in Tennessee Williams' "The Long Goodbye," and earned a Best Actor nomination at the 29th Annual L.A. Weekly Theatre Awards for his role as Andrew in Chuck Mee's two-person play, "Lemonade Tous Les Jours," which won Best Ensemble Cast.
