Xavier Ramirez is an American actor, director, and four-time Emmy® nominee whose dynamic career spans film, television, music and digital media. A multi-hyphenate creative, he has worked extensively as an actor, writer, director, and producer, earning recognition for his bold storytelling and cross-industry versatility. Ramirez is best known for directing the controversial 2013 music biopic I Got Soul, inspired by the life of James Brown. As an actor, he has appeared in notable films including Selena (1997) and Step Up (2006). A native of San Antonio, Ramirez attended St. Mary’s University and Rice University. He also spent several years in the music industry working with RCA Records, further shaping his creative foundation. As a producer, he works closely with clients to strategically elevate every aspect of their careers-across feature films, television, publishing, commercials, and brand-integrated content-positioning them for distinction, competitive edge, and long-term relevance in an evolving media landscape. An international ambassador of hip-hop culture, Ramirez has maintained long-standing collaborations with actors and dancers from the classics Breakin’(1984) and Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo (1984). Ramirez has also served as Technical Director for TEDx San Antonio and is Co-Chair of its production committee. Xavier is the founder of Cinemasoundoff, a cinema-focused media platform featuring interviews with leading figures such as Rita Moreno, Marlee Matlin, Matthew McConaughey, Jane Seymour, H.E.R., Shia LaBeouf, Jonathan Roumie, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Through his platform and leadership, Ramirez leverages his influence to inspire, educate, and empower individuals from all walks of life. In 2025, Ramirez wrapped production on Season 2 of Landman, Season 6 of The Chosen, and Season 3 of Lioness.
