Patrick Scott Patterson is a podcast host, small business owner and entertainment industry veteran with decades of total experience within a wide range of genres and platforms.
His first work started as a radio call-in character in 1991 during his freshman year of high school. A quiet loner at that time, Patterson would go on to credit this experience as the one that got him to open up and realize his love of creating entertainment content of all kinds.
He would move on to appear on television for the first time in the late 1990s as he performed for various professional wrestling companies throughout Texas and the Southwest as "Hardcore Kingpin" Scott Phoenix. Among the programs featuring the Phoenix character included XCW Wrestling on MavTV and the DVD release XCW Battlebox 7 (2007), which featured Patterson/Phoenix among the wrestlers on the cover.
His love of all things pop culture would lead to his opening of Hyperspace Arcade Repair in 2004, a company specializing in the repair and maintenance of vintage commercial arcade games and pinball machines. This business and his unique skill set would eventually lead to Patterson working with G4tv during their E3 2009 coverage as Steve Wiebe went for the Donkey Kong World Record live - a TV first that landed him a producer credit.
Patterson would parlay that experience into appearances in documentary films such as Nintendo Quest (2015), World 1-1 (2015), Pixel Poetry (2016) and The New 8-Bit Heroes (2016) as well as television appearances on shows such as Collector's Call (seasons 4 and 6), Frankenfood (2014) and the second season of Action Figure Adventure (2022).
In 2019, Patterson worked as a producer on documentary television series Video Game Box Art: The Stories Behind the Covers while also appearing in one of the episodes for a 'man on the street' segment. Around this same time, Patterson was a frequent guest speaker at pop culture events across the United States including San Diego Comic-Con, SXSW, the E3 expo and more, hosting live discussion panels with a variety of guests.
Patterson's various adventures have also gained the attention of the mainstream media on numerous occasions, with appearances on every Dallas/Fort Worth news station as well as interviews and appearances in the press everywhere from Los Angeles to New York City.
In 2025, Patterson kicked off his podcast The Patrick Scott Patterson Project, a show about chasing goals, putting yourself out there and following the paths that open up along the way. The first episode launched in late May of that year featuring Jim O'Heir of Parks and Recreation fame.
The goal of Patterson's podcast is to get people to take the leap and chase their goals in life, both personal and professional. Each episode chats with a guest that has done the same as their stories are shared in a casual chat format. It is available on all major podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music and YouTube.
Patterson is a self-professed die hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and cites Drew Barrymore as an inspiration and a life-long celebrity crush. Patterson credits the inspiration for starting his podcast after finally meeting Barrymore on the set of her talk show, fulfilling a lifelong goal of his own.
Patrick Scott Patterson is a father of two. His youngest son, Colton Patterson, is interested in football and meteorology. His youngest son Brody is studying for a degree in the entertainment industry with a long-time goal to direct his own films. Patterson is also married to his high-school sweetheart Melissa, a veteran educator and small business owner herself. They reside in Denton, TX.
From radio to pro wrestling, video gaming, television, film, live speaking and podcasting, Patrick Scott Patterson can pop up almost anywhere and aims to continue doing so for years and years to come.
