George Travis Milne, born on July 18, 1986, in Fort McMurray, Alberta, is an actor best known for his role as Chris Diaz on Rookie Blue. His parents are George Milne, an electrician, and Patricia Flatla, a college professor.
At age 12, he moved with his mother and stepfather to Lac La Biche, Alberta. During high school at J.A. Williams, he was actively involved in football, basketball, track and field, cross-country running, and theatre. In his final year, arts program director Joanne Metchooyeah encouraged him to apply to theatre school, leading to his acceptance. After three years of intensive training in the RDC Theatre and Film program, he secured his first agent. Travis balanced part-time acting with a full-time carpentry job for three years to navigate challenging times.
In 2008, he earned his first supporting lead role as lawyer Eric Baldwin in the TV movie Confessions of a Go-Go Girl. The following year, he portrayed Bobby in Reginald Harkema’s film Manson, My Name is Evil, which premiered at the 2009 Toronto Film Festival.
That same summer, Travis was cast in the series Rookie Blue, which premiered simultaneously in Canada and the U.S. in 2010 and has since produced 74 episodes.
Outside of acting, Travis enjoys home improvement, architecture, and design. In his free time, he often visits hardware stores and is currently pursuing his real estate license.
