Wesley Brown is a Wilmington, NC-based creative professional, full-time dad, part-time comedian, and lifelong organizer of chaos.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, he has built a multifaceted career spanning creative marketing, video production, live event management, and performance art. His work bridges the realms of media production and live entertainment, always with an eye toward creativity and audience connection.
As the Owner and Artistic Director of Pineapple-Shaped Lamps, Wesley has been producing original sketch comedy, immersive theater, and digital content since 2010. What began as a scrappy local troupe has grown into a nationally recognized company known for its bold, nerdy, and joyfully unhinged productions. They've produced hundreds of live and virtual shows, collaborating with venues from intimate black box theaters to major convention centers.
Before stepping into full-time parenthood, he spent over a decade in the world of digital media, live events, and video production, working as a director, editor, designer and marketing producer across TV, convention circuits, and independent film. Whether behind the camera, in front of a soundboard, or running client meetings, his focus has always been the same: make it clean, make it creative, and make it work.
When time allows, Wesley continues to create through PSL, developing new performances and digital projects that celebrate collaboration, comedy, and community. Whether in a theater, a studio, or at the kitchen table, he blends structure with spontaneity, professionalism with playfulness, and always, a healthy dose of humor.
