Idris "IICE" Pearson is a dynamic storyteller-a writer, director, actor, former CHH artist, and radio host with a passion for bringing powerful narratives to life. Born and raised in Columbia, SC, he is the CEO of Children of God Entertainment, a creative force he founded in 2013.
Driven by a deep passion for storytelling, Idris uses film and writing to explore themes of faith, redemption, and human connection. His short film, Forgiveness, has been recognized in multiple film festivals, showcasing his ability to craft compelling narratives. As a director, his vision and dedication earned him the Best Director award at the Redhawk Crescent Indie Awards. His web series, Why Am I Still Single, won Best Web Series at the Charlotte Black Film Festival, and his work on You Don't Know Jack: Très Chic has garnered multiple awards. His feature film, The Dreamer, is currently streaming on Tubi, expanding his reach to a wider audience.
Since 2019, Idris has been working with Film Barrel Studios, where he continues to refine his craft in directing and filmmaking. He also studied writing under actor Javon Johnson from Tyler Perry's hit TV show The Oval, further sharpening his storytelling abilities. In addition to his work in film, Idris is a co-host of the podcast The Relationship Perspective, currently available on YouTube, where he engages in meaningful conversations about love, life, and personal growth.
While he thrives behind the camera, Idris also pours his heart into acting, fully immersing himself in every role. Guided by the principle, "In order to lead, you must first follow," he embraces both learning and leadership in his creative journey. As Nelson Mandela famously said, "I never lose, I either win or learn" a philosophy Idris carries into every project he takes on.
