Edmund "Eddie" Baroo was born on September 25, 1968, in Geelong, Australia.
A talented singer and guitarist, he led the band Stodgewood.
He founded Buggertoe Records, releasing CDs that earned both international and domestic critical praise.
In 1997, Eddie signed with the UK’s Cherry Red label, producing three albums for Manchester United Football Club: The Greatest Soccer Album of All Time, Red Anthems, and Football Crazy #3.
After a successful music career that included publishing deals, global releases, television appearances, and independent chart achievements, Eddie transitioned to acting at age 30.
His acting debut was on ABC's Something in the Air, followed by guest roles in popular Australian TV dramas such as Blue Heelers, Stingers, Underbelly, Rush, Beaconsfield, as well as the series Fat Tony & Co. and Killing Time.
His first film role was in Ghost Rider alongside Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes. He then portrayed 'Bull' in Baz Luhrmann's Australia, starring Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman.
Throughout his career, Eddie has been a dedicated supporter of first-time directors and low-budget feature films. His credits include Patrick Hughes' Red Hill, Kasimir Burgess' evocative Fell, Save Your Legs, My Year Without Sex, Summer Coda, and Crawlspace, a sci-fi action thriller he co-wrote with Justin Dix.
In 2015, Eddie appeared in Julius Avery's debut feature Son of a Gun, starring Ewan McGregor and Brenton Thwaites. He also had roles in three other films slated for release: Sucker, Now Add Honey, and Downriver.
Currently, Eddie is writing the screenplay for the sci-fi action adventure Sons of Light.
He is a father to four children: Molly, Bailey, Harry, and Teishe. Childhood photos of his children have been transformed into unique tattoo art that decorates his arms and chest.
In 2014, after 21 years of retirement from Stodgewood, Eddie reunited the band for The Mane Event, a fundraising concert to raise awareness for mental health.
