Salvador Del Solar’s portrayal of Captain Pantoja in *Pantaleón y Las Visitadoras* captivated cinema audiences and earned him acclaim at several film festivals. Following his co-star Angie Cepeda, Salvador's performance was considered the highlight of the film. Born on May 1, 1970, in Lima, Peru, Salvador experienced his parents' divorce during childhood but maintained a good relationship with them. An avid sportsman, he was a member of the Peruvian water polo team from ages 14 to 21 and also worked as a swimming instructor during summer academies.
In 1988, Salvador began studying law at PUCP (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú), graduating six years later. While practicing law, he realized that acting was a passion he wanted to pursue. He auditioned for a drama course led by Alberto Isola, one of Peru’s most esteemed actors, and was accepted. Salvador participated in several plays before landing his television breakthrough with a leading role in the soap opera *Lluvia de Arena*. His portrayal of Lalo Dupont in *Escándalo* (1997), alongside Christian Meier and Lorena Meritano, received praise from both fans and critics. However, his subsequent lead role in *Apocalipsis* did not achieve the same success.
In 1999, he was cast in Francisco Lombardi’s hit film *Pantaleón y las Visitadoras*, earning Best Actor awards at the Gramado Film Festival (Brazil, 2000), Cartagena Film Festival (Colombia), and Troia Film Festival (Portugal). Salvador has been married to his long-term partner, Ximena Bellido Denegri, since 1998, and they have a daughter named Manuela. A devoted family man, he enjoys spending time with them. Additionally, he runs his own theater production company, Se Va El Tren Producciones. His debut production was Calderón de la Barca’s *El gran Teatro del Mundo*, in which he also starred as the King.
