Jimmy Tetrov is an Israeli-born actor, musician and filmmaker. With an extensive career in music and film, he has starred in various independent films and musical projects, for which he received multiple accolades, including a Mofilm award for Pepsi Revolution (2011) and an International Talent Award. Born in Israel, he moved to Belgium at an early age where he obtained European citizenship. He started with the formation of his first bands and recording music during the early days of his career, before relocating to Barcelona, Spain in 1998, where he established his professional roots.
In 2001, he was invited to perform at a singing contest in Berlin, winning first prize at the International Talent Awards on SFB German television performing his original song "Shining Star". In 2003, he attended the University of Cinema to study acting and directing. While studying, he signed a two-year record deal with Filmax Music, achieving top-charting songs like "Going Under" and "Run Away." By 2007, he continued recording music and touring throughout Spain.
His artistic breakthrough came with his song "Revolution," which earned him the Best Music Video award from Sol Música and served as the centerpiece for his worldwide Pepsi Films and Mofilm Award-winning project, Pepsi Revolution (2011). During this period, he developed a significant trajectory in short films, producing and directing various independent projects that served as his transition into narrative features. He often composes original scores for his projects and has collaborated with global brands including Smirnoff, Lay’s, and Diners Club as both a performer and producer. This era of experimental filmmaking established his cinematic style, leading to key roles in television and narrative features including I/Nation (2013) and the series Magnum Opus (2015).
He produced his feature films Vision X (2018) and Red Thread (2024), and appeared in the TV program Moscow with an Accent (2019) with his wife, Marina Nekrasova. In 2023, Tetrov relocated to Israel to expand his international acting career, appearing in national and international campaigns for major brands and leading Israeli television networks.
